Look at how close those ships are to that cloud…ridiculous.
dig this Mae song, it’s one of my favorites..we were good some of the time! I wish this would’ve made it on an official release.
Honestly, that’s one of my favorite Mae songs as well. I always look forward to hearing it near the end of The Everglow: Special Edition (because I usually listen to an entire album at a time, sometimes multiple albums in a row). Besides Tisbury Lane, I can’t think of a Mae song that I’ve enjoyed more.
On a semi-related note, when I imported that album into iTunes, it listed “Ready and Waiting to Fall” as “Ready and Waiting to Fakk” for some reason.
Jeff Tweedy can definitely come off as a snotty individual. Although, through his music, you can tell that he understands his place, he is aware that his music is a celebration of that higher, timeless current. He offers his songs to that which makes his songs so beautiful. It’s all symbiosis. He’s humble in relation to the art of song, he respects it.
How could you not come off as at least a little bit snobby with a name like “Tweedy?”
I also realize the irony in the fact that my own last name is Royal.

There seems to be a correspondence between the amount of time you’ve been on tour and the length/unruliness of your beard.
It’s awesome.

Guitars and wine. 12:18 am. Delay, reverb and good vibes
I like to find a note that resonates with my apartment, then crank up the delay and reverb, hit that note, and let it ring. It makes the walls shake.
